once on a plane back to Europe, Jiri Menzel happened to be sitting next to Krzysztof Kieślowski... or perhaps it'd be more accurate to say that KK happened to be sitting next to JM... JM recalled that they spent 10 hours or so talking, and concluded that a Czech can understand a Pole and vice versa... JM added that KK was a great man and filmmaker, and that his daughter was beautiful...
was JM right?
