huh, it’s a quick and quite ‘rapid’ update on what’s next on the agenda.. so as i said a couple of hours ago there's going to be some woody..

i’ve picked a feature that’s a bit forgotten and needs dusting.. i’m not sure but i guess it’s the last movie that earned allan stewart konigsberg a bunch of academy award nominations, which all happened back in the mid-1990s..

if you ask me, the woody allen films can be categorised as the early (read diane keaton), 1980s (read mia farrow) and everything-that-later-he-came-up-with stuff..

another division that can be distinguished here is the movies that allen both directed and starred, and ‘only’ directed the actors playing the main characters that all can be diagnosed neurotically woody-like..

‘bullets over broadway’ belongs to the latter category and takes a look and piss at what it’s like to be an artist.. a load of wank surrounding bohemianism is unearthed here in order to deconstruct the big world of art and the grotesque it’s wrapped and veiled in.. this train of thought can be noticed in ‘deconstructing harry’, which followed up ‘bullets over broadway’ a couple of years later..

before i finish, i’m going to give you a piece of advice now: learn english and make sure you don’t fuck up ‘cause there’s always a possibility of cheech watching you.. in a fortnight you’ll know what i mean…

p.s. quite a few ands up here:)
